Kathmandu, May 11, 2012: The 2nd day of the Nepal shut down program organized by the   Joint Struggle Committee for National Integrity and Ethnic Goodwill Committee has toll its presences among the kathmanduties here on Friday. The Committee had announced the Nepal shut down program in protest against the ethnic based federalism practice. The committee has been saying that practicing federalism on the basis of ethnicity is wrong and it will take the country to the verge of collapse. They have also been focusing more towards practicing federalism on the basis of Identity or resources.

As compared to yesterday the 2nd day of the Bandh was seen more tight and less people and vehicles were seen on the streets. To maintain the law and order high number of security personnel were seen in the streets where minor confrontation took place.

Social networking sites like facebook and twitter were seen full with message of No shutdown program but a majority of the age group people were seen supporting the cause saying No to Ethnic based federalism.

Prakash K.C one of the agitator said, “What can we do, it’s not our will to do Nepal shutdown program but it’s a compulsion to do it. As we went to all the political leaders and the government but they didn’t hear our voices. We had to come out to the streets only then our voices are being thought off. We don’t want to do it but it’s for the country and everybody has to understand. It’s not about an individual it’s about the country so we all have to be serious about this.”
