It is official that the beginning of the 2016 season has marked the 4th death at Everest. Â Jon Kedrowski, a geographer and climber who summited Mount Everest in 2012, have been reported to be dead.
After the opening  since last Thursday four people have died  including a Sherpa. Rescue efforts are ongoing for two other missing climbers who have been lost and out of contact.  April and May are considered to be the most common months to scale Everest.
More than 200 climbers have died since Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary made the first official ascent in 1953.
