17-year-old Ahed Tamimi,  has been arrested by the Israeli soldiers on Tuesday after her video of slapping an Israeli solider went viral in social media. She has been  charged with 12 cases including assault and throwing stones. Tuesday Tamimi’s house was raided by Israeli army and she was arrested.
The video went viral from 15 December where Tamini is shouting, hitting and kicking armed Israeli soldiers.
The incident took place in the Palestinian village of Nabi Saleh in the West Bank. The Tamimi family are prominent campaigners against the Israeli military occupation of the West Bank, and Ahed as a child has been seen with symbolic protest against the arrest of her brother during her childhood.
According to the Israel’s military, “The soldiers were doing their jobs. They were stationed for preventing Palestinians from throwing stones at nearby motorists.”
