After the promulgation of the new constitution by more than 85% of the Constituent Assembly (CA) members, the dissatisfied agitators have been protesting in view of finding a solution to their problem.

Till now more than 46 people have been killed in protests in region.

In view of the agitation in the bordering Terai Region, the Indian counterpart had send its envoy on 21 September Monday for consultation here in Nepal where the representative hold talks with various party leaders and government representatives regarding the latest situation and security concern over the boarder issue.

The Ministry of External Affairs issued a statement saying, “We had repeatedly cautioned the political leadership of Nepal to take urgent steps to defuse the tension in these regions. This, if done in a timely manner, could have avoided these serious developments. We have consistently argued that all sections of Nepal must reach a consensus on the political challenges confronting them. The issues facing Nepal are political in nature and cannot be resolved through force. We still hope that initiatives will be taken by Nepal’s leadership to effectively and credibly address the causes underlying the present state of confrontation. ”
Indian Ambassador, Ranjit rae left Nepal on Monday for a consultation over the violence in the Terai region where he briefed the Indian government on the latest situation. Before leaving the country Rae hold talks with major political parties in creating a favorable environment of resolving the current Madhesi issue.

On 22nd September Kathmandu post in its editorial publishes, “We are worried that the polarization seems to have deepened with all Madhes-based parties keeping out of the CA process, including Bijaya Gachhadar’s Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Loktantrik that had earlier supported the 16-point agreement that helped expedite the stalled constitution project. We have also noted the international community’s response on the new constitution and New Delhi’s lukewarm response to it. Yes, we are deeply disappointed with the three major parties’ failure to take on board the broader sections of the Nepali population ourselves. But Delhi would do well not to be seen as crossing the red line to meet its objective. It could box itself in a difficult position and see it lose its diplomatic leverage against certain parties and sections of the polarized society.”

BBC world quotes, “India’s reaction to Nepal’s new constitution and the violence preceding and following it, has been criticized by Nepal’s media and Twitter users.”

Immediately after the response of press release on Tuesday #backoffIndia was started where there are more than 0.5 million tweets trending worldwide.

Saturday, People of Kathmandu protested in the streets shouting the undimming role and presence of Indian interventions in Nepal’s politics. The group protested wearing the T-shirt of Backoffindia

“In view of the violence, major cities are completely cut off from the supply of fuel and other necessary goods. Most of Nepal’s consumable goods channel through Indian broader. But with security concerns it has been reported that transporters trucks are fearing to enter Nepal of violence. Reality is from the Indian side they have been delaying the process reasoning it to security concern. What kind of Pressure is this? What does the Indian government want? Are they helping the situation or creating a political unwanted situation supporting the Madhesi groups?” Says Sajina karki a Practicing lawyer

Though India has not directly intervene the situation but with its silent intentions it has been focusing towards pressuring Nepal to support the Madhesi leader’s in fulfilling their demands. In practice this may not sound real but India has been infiltrating Nepal’s politics using doctrine remedies in promoting and lobbying its own issue through Nepal’s unstable political scenario.
