British Human Rights Activists confirmed of being detained by the state

Krishna-UpadhyayaKrishna Upadhyaya and Gundev Ghimire who went missing during an investigation in Qatar have been confirmed of being state bondage on Saturday. The duo were investigating the working and living conditions of Nepalese migrant workers in the Gulf emirate for the World Cup 2022.

They were last contacted by their fellow office members of Global Network for Rights and Development (GNRD) on the morning of Sunday 31 August.

According to the statement issued by the Qatar’s ministry of foreign affairs, “The men were taken for investigation against violating the law of the land and no international human rights law was broken”
