Kathmandu Nepal, January 14:  Bull fighting is one of the oldest tradition of Nepal that is catching people’s attention just like the Spanish bull fight, Nepal has its own highlighting a definite tradition and culture. Similarly,  this year on the occasion of  Maghe Sankranti, the  Taruka Village organized a Bull Fight competition here in Nuwakot district. Every year thousands of adventure enthusiast come to see the bull fight marking Maghe Sankranti, the first day of the tenth month in the nation’s calendar.  Bull fights has been a tradition of Nepal from the past where huge concern have been raised by animal activists.It is believed  that bullfighting was  introduced in Taruka in 1900, by Jai Prithvi Bahadur Singh, a monarch of the ancient Bajhang kingdom in what is now western Nepal.
During the battle several pairs of bull entertained the crowd with the amazement and excitement. The bull are highly trained for the  annual fiesta where the  Nepali version of  the bull fight  is completely different from the European as no  bloodshed occurs,  bouts only go on until one animal tires and gives up.
