Gaurika Singh is the youngest competitor at the Rio Olympics this year representing Nepal in swimming. Gaurika is currently 13 years old among the 10,000 participants from all over the world scheduled to start from August 5. She currently lives with her parents in Britain and studies in grade eight at Haberdashers’ Aske’s School for Girls in Elstree, Hertfordshire. Gaurika is the daughter of a London-based medical doctor Paras Singh and Garima Rana. She has been preparing for the Rio Olympics at the Barnett Copthall Swimming Club in North West London.
Few months back, she won one silver and three bronze medals during the 2016 South Asian Games held in Guwahati, India and has broken seven national level swimming records.
