The Internet Society (ISOC) has recently launched a new campaign 25 Under 25 to promote youth leadership and young innovators from around the world.
Toral Cowieson, Sr. Director, Internet Leadership Global Engagement Team ISOC Said , ” This campaign is launched  in celebration of the Internet Society’s 25th anniversary and as we look to the future, the Internet Society has launched a “25 Under 25″ program to identify 25 young, passionate individuals who are using the Internet to make a difference in their community.”
Basic Criteria for Campaign
- Between the ages of 13-25 as of 31 December 2017
- Who use the Internet to make a positive impact
- Demonstrate commitment and passion to serve society
- Are making a difference where they live
- Show promise for continuing their outstanding work on the Internet
- Have ideas that can be implemented around the world
- Are recognized and respected by peers
“Awardees will be guests at a reception in their honor co-located with the 2017 Internet Hall of Fame induction ceremony in September. There will be plenty of opportunities for the 25 under 25 awardees to network with the Internet pioneers, innovators and global connectors who made significant contributions to the development and advancement of the Internet, added she.”
According to the ISOC, ” Under the Program we are looking for the entrepreneurs. The social change agents. The community game-changers. And we need your help to find them. Please use this form to tell us about how you or someone you know is using the Internet to make a difference. They can be based anywhere in the world. The awardees will be flown to Los Angeles, where they will be honoured in a special ceremony before participating in three days of networking and leadership development. These several days will provide a fantastic opportunity to connect with other young innovators from around the world — and some of the people who made the Internet what it is today.”
The  Nominations open from 16 March  and closes on 31 May. Awardees will be notified by 27 June.
