Match-fixing stuns the Nepali football industry

On charges of  match-fixing in national and international games, the Metropolitan Police Crime Division (MPCD)
has arrested captain Sagar Thapa, vice-captain Sandip Rai, goalkeeper Ritesh Thapa, former national defender Bikash Singh Chhetri, and former national player and former coach of Three Star Club Anjan KC on Wednesday.

As per the police, ” They were arrested on a tip  after receiving complaints  that the five were involved in match-fixing of national and international games. We were monitoring them  their bank acounts and other activities were also monitored. Further investigation is due in process.”
