The official visit of the President of People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping to Nepal has been a mockery of how Nepal government is doing its preparation in the city round the clock to make it look beautiful. From the streets to the decorations that has been done is completely illogical and temporary just focusing on the visit. The major streets have been black topped regardless of the need, Tinkune void land has been decorated and various flower pots and lights has been set up at various locations.
It is ridiculously how people’s hard-earned money paid in the form of tax is wasted in the name of such invitees. The money spent in the act could have been used to make the road in Boudha-Jorpati road or any other main street road which needs the right attention and resources. This kind of weak diplomatic practice results in waste of resources and establishes wrong culture which is highly privileged to VVIPs and other people. On one hand the resources are wasted whereas on the other hand people have to go through traffic rescheduling and restriction.
It has been reported that the Chinese President will hold delegation-level official talks with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli where they will sign bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding between the two nations.
