The new so-call trend is very much inspiring teenage girls and boys to go ahead with the new fad of inserting rings into their body.
Taking a look at its history, Piercing has been one of the world’s hidden art form. From its origin till date it has transcended in ways of ways of interpretation and adaptability. Though its existence has always made it popular among the different tribes and culture but still its existence seemingly is dimmed by the pain and audacious feeling that occurs while doing it. To practicality the origin of this art form is very much contradicting, however it’s practiced in different part of the world in different sense and different meaning solely with the them to create beauty in a bizarrely style.
According to Mohan Gurung, owner of Mohan’s Tattooing and Piercing Center in Thamel, “Piercing is a new and unique art of decorating body, giving it a perquisite flavor of looking new and unique. Piercing can be done in any part and everywhere, the thing is you just need the guts and money to try on something new.”
“Currently piercing is done in different parts of body like under lip, belly, ear, nose, tongue, tits, eyebrows etc and moreover peoples prefer to do it in sensitive part as well.
The newest trend in piercing is injecting stainless steel balls under the skin and horns in your head with the help of screws but still, such implantation are very risky and are much expensive. Piercing is one of the most risky profession as one might bleed to death if catches some vain so it’s the artist has to be well trained and well practiced,” added he
“It is true that there is a great risk of infection of HIV/ AIDS and other transferable diseases in piercing and the chances of getting an infection is very high for the person who is getting pierced, though we out here generally use disposal syringes and sterilized needles,” opined he.
The whole ideology of pain to some extent is true as it is a technique of how to use the tools in precise time and place to give a prolific look, it’s all experience that counts, he said.
It generally costs from Nrs 250 to 300 and above depending upon the type and place where it’s done and the interest of people are also increasing. He urged the teenager not to try it with a compass or thorn as it might get the infected and can have drastic results.
The trend has not only highlighted the new fashion of piercing but has created a very strange phenomenon of just looking unique in every aspect of defining fashion in a prolific way. Piercing got hyped in the 60s and 70s when the rock and pop star started to use it, since then it has been gaining popularity among the people creating its own style and fashion.
Ashish Lama, a piercing trend follower said, “Life is cool and you should live each and every bit of it, so why shouldn’t we do piercing? Is it harmful to you in any way? Or does it effect any other person? Then most probable answer is a big No. It’s just a way of expressing yourself and one should do it in the vogue of fulfilling one’s desire and intimation as life only comes once, so why to leave any point of exhilaration and enjoyment?”
“They are making holes in their body with vogue of creating a unique look tantalizing the fact that these holes are not meant to be where they are” said Bimila Rai, a home maker.
The trend and fashion of the new generation is changing, creating their respected style and fashion in their own world. As the current world is changing, people’s life, attitude and perception are also changing redefining the whole meaning and definition of fashion and trend in an unprecedented manner.
